ACHIEVEMENTS
- Anu Thapa (9th batch student) designed the Ballroom Gown dress for Ms. Bipashwi Poudyal who won the “11th Little Miss World” pageant held in Antalya, Turkey on October 8.
- Anila Tuladhar, Mabina Maharjan, Pragya Chitrakar (8th batch students) and Nisha Shrestha (7th batch student), were featured as Stylists for the “Smart Casuals” theme of ECS Living magazine’s July 2011 issue.
- Aakriti Gautam K.C, 7th batch student, won the title at the “London Fashion House – Designer of the Year 2011” contest organized by London Fashion House at the Direct Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) on May 21, 2011.
- Bishwo Gautam, 2nd batch graduate, organized his solo fashion show titled “Lead of Fusion” at the Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza on June 09, 2011.
- Shama Banu, 5th batch graduate, won the title at the “Creative Design Awards” organized by Speed Media at the Direct Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) on March 01, 2011.
- Mamta Yonjan Lama (Librarian, NCFT) won the “Best Dress Designer” at the “Little Miss Newa 2011” pageant organized by Nepalese Fashion Home on August 06, 2011.
- Ajita Bhujel (8th batch student) was the “1st runner-up” at the “Miss Talent Bhaktapur 2010” pageant organized by Anamika Fashion House.
- Rubina Maharjan (Front Desk Officer) achieved the Top 7 Position at the “Miss Newa 2010” pageant organized by the Nepalese Fashion Home.
- Ritu Shrestha (6th batch student) was awarded the “Best Prize” in the “Pashmina Product Design” category at the “6th Craft Competition 2010” organized by the Federation of Handicraft Association of Nepal (FHAN).
- Moon Prajapati (2nd batch graduate) and Manisha Joshi (3rd batch graduate) were awarded with the “Madan Lal Agrawal Gold Medal” by then Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal at the 4th Convocation of Purbanchal University for securing the topmost position among all its under the management faculty in their respective batches.
- Manisha Joshi (3rd batch) was honored with the prestigious “Nepal Chattraa Vidya Padak 2065” from the Rt. Honorable President Dr. Rambaran Yadav on Education Day 2008 for securing the highest marks amongst all female students under the management faculty of Purbanchal University.
- Manisha Joshi and Anju Dangol (3rd batch students) jointly won the 1st prize at the “Designer Contest” organized by Nepal Education of Fashion Technology in 2006.
- Bijendra Kayastha and Archana Shakya (3rd batch students) were the designers for the winning contestant of “Miss Best Dress” award at Miss Newa 2006.
- Bindu Rai (2nd batch students) was the designer for the winning contestant of “Miss Best Dress” award at “Mrs. Nepal 2006”.
- Lalita Maharjan (5th batch student) won the “Miss Best Dress” award as a participant in Miss Newa 2006.
- Usha Shrestha (3rd batch student) won the “Best Dress” award as a participant at Mrs. Nepal 2006.
- Shashi Chaudhary and Sugandha Gyawali (3rd batch students) won the 9th prize jointly at the “Designer Contest” organized by Nepal Education of Fashion Technology in 2006
- Sarita Limbu (3rd batch student) won the “Miss Talent” award at the event Miss Kantipur 2006.

- NCFT was the dress sponsor and Ajita Bhujel, Alisha Shrestha, Laxmi Gurung, Ramita Purkuti and Seema Thapa Magar (8th batch students) acted as the design coordinators and stylists for the “Ethnic Fashion Show” organized by The Global Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Education (GATE) on August 01, 2011.
- NCFT was the dress sponsor for the Fashion Show segment at the Welcome & Farewell Program of Orient College held on July 13, 2011.
- Shama Banu, 5th batch graduate, was one of the designers at Nepal Fashion Eve 2067 held at the Everest Hotel on April 13, 2011 and organized by Maxon Creative Designing House.
- Arunima Acharya, 7th batch student, participated as a model in the Spring Summer Collection 2011 by Sumnima Bastola (Designer and Ex-faculty, NCFT), held at Tamarind Restro and Bar on August 06, 2011.
- Moon Prajapati (2nd batch graduate), Prativa Timalsina (7th batch student) and Yubina Shrestha (2nd batch graduate) participated as designers at the “Wearable Art Workshop” organized by LASANAA from March 27, 2011 to April 01 at Srijana College of Fine Arts.
- Ajita Bhujel (8th batch student), Arunima Acharya (7th batch student) and Moonshine Dewan (9th batch student) also participated as models in the “Wearable Art Workshop” organized by LASANAA from March 27, 2011 to April 01 at Srijana College of Fine Arts.
- Ritu Shrestha, Samata Dhakhwa and Nabina Maharjan (6th batch students) were the design coordinators for MBA participants from Ace Institute of Management who stood 1st in the “Inter College Fashion Show at Ace Expressions 2011” organized by Ace Institute of Management.
- Ajita Bhujel and Pragya Chitrakar (8th batch students) were the design coordinators for participants from Apex College who stood 3rd in the “Inter College Fashion Show at Ace Expressions 2011” organized by Ace Institute of Management.
- Anjali Bhandari, Arunima Acharya, Chandani Poudel Chettri, Nima Amatya, Nisha Maharjan, Nisha Shrestha, Nitika Upadhyay, Prativa Timalsina, Sarmila Thapa and Sukmita Shrestha (7th batch students) were the designers for the Opening Dance sequence at the “5th Nepal International Indigenous Film Festival” held from April 22-April 25.

- Shama Banu (5th batch graduate) was the organizer of the “Christmas Fashion Show 2010” held at the United World Trade Center on December 24, 2010.
- Shama Banu (5th batch student) was the design coordinator of the “5th Bridal Fashion Show” organized by Direction Nepal on January 09, 2011 in association with Nari Magazine.
- Binu Shrestha, Mina Lohani, Nabina Maharjan, Nisha Shrestha, Radha Barmasakha and Ritu Shrestha (5th and 6th batch students) were the designers for the fashion show “Punaragaman – Ethinicity With Greeneries” organized by NP Events at the Yak and Yeti Hotel on February 11, 2011.

- Ajita Bhujel, Anila Tuladhar, Niharika Dangol, Moonshine Dewan and Nishu Kandel (8th and 9th batch students) participated in the “Enterprise Challenge 2010” organized by the British Council.
- Laxya Bam (4th batch graduate) designed the modified national attire for Dinesh DC’s emceeing session at the “Bryan Adams Live Concert 2011” at Dasarath Stadium, Kathmandu.
- Ritu Shrestha (6th batch student) designed all dresses of the Evening Gown sequence for Mr/Miss Kathmandu 2010 pageant.
- NCFT was the Official Dress Sponsor/Designer for the participants of “Miss India Worldwide Nepal 2010” pageant.
- Students and Ex-students of NCFT managed and choreographed the “Children Fancy Dress Show” at the Children Expo 2010 organized by Direction Nepal.
- Radha Barmasakha and Mina Lohani (5th batch students) designed the dresses for the female newscasters of News 24, a premium Nepalese news channel
- Radha Barmasakha and Mina Lohani (5th batch students) were the designers for the participants of Apex College which took the “Second Prize” in the Fashion Show competition of the Expressions 2010 – Ace Inter College Festival.
- Laxya Bam (4th batch student), Radha Barmasakha, Pooja Shrestha, Shama Banu, Binita Shrestha, Jagat Khapangi and Meera Rai (5th batch students) designed the dresses for the Nepali movie “Kathmandu” directed by Aakash Adhikari.
- Shama Banu (5th batch student) was the costume designer for the upcoming Nepali movie “Kasam” featuring Nikhil Uprety, Suman Singh, Usha Poudel and Shovit Simkhada.
- Laxya Bam (3rd batch student) coordinated the production and delivery of a costume for the upcoming Nepali movie “Dharma” featuring Rajesh Hamal, Manisha Koirala, Samyog Pokhrel and Anu Shah.
- Binita Shrestha and Pramila Kansakar (5th batch students) designed the cultural dress for Bristi Gurung, winner of “Miss Talent” and “Miss Public Choice” at the Miss Mangol 2010 pageant.
- The 5th batch students organized, managed and choreographed the “Namuna Bridal Show” at the Wedding and Gift Expo 2009 organized by Direction Nepal in association with Nari Magazine.
- The 5th batch students managed the dresses and styling for the special fashion show sequence of “Paleti-Newari Fiesta 2009” organized by Bajra Kala Kunja at the DECC.
- Sanij Shrestha (5th batch student) choreographed the Fashion Show segment of Bajaj Pulsar Ace Expressions 2009 in which NCFT provided all the costumes.
- Sanij Shrestha and Jagat Bahadur Khapangi Magar (5th batch students) managed the styling of the Fashion Show segment of Bajaj Pulsar Ace Expressions 2009.
- Sanij Shrestha (5th batch student) was one of the designers in the Miss Tamang 2009 pageant organized by the Nepal Tamang Kala Sanskriti Kendra.
- The 5th batch students provided the overall costumes and styling for the brides and grooms of the New Year Calendar 2066 produced by The Ramp Pvt. Ltd, the modeling agency.
- NCFT participated as an educational exhibitor at the Spotlight 09 organized by the students of VS Niketan College.
- NCFT participated in the Career Counseling Program 2009 organized by the Rotary Club of Budhanilkantha.
- The 5th batch students managed and choreographed the “Children Fancy Dress Show” at the Children Expo 2009 organized by Direction Nepal.
- NCFT organized a first of its kind free seminar on Bachelors of Fashion Design (BFD) at the Direct Exhibition and Convention Center in 2009.
- NCFT participated as an educational exhibitor at the Ambition Expo 09 and the DECC Education Fair 2009 organized by the Annapurna Post and Direction Nepal respectively.
- Arati Gautam (3rd batch student and Promotions Officer of NCFT) designed the Newari wedding dress in the “Best Dress” category for one of the participants of Miss Newa 2009.
- The 5th batch students organized, managed and choreographed the “Namuna Bridal Show” at the Wedding and Gift Expo 2008 organized by Direction Nepal in association with Nari Magazine.
- NCFT students organized, managed and choreographed the Fashion Show segment of the Kathmandu University South Asian University Festival 2008 (KU SAUFEST) held at Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel.
