Introduction
Fashion Designing is a creative expression that has a high profile in today�s world. It is fast becoming an appealing and lucrative profession and the rise in fashion consciousness among people has led the fashion industry to grow spectacularly all over the world. This in turn has led to greater demands for competent fashion designers.

Here at Namuna College of Fashion Technology (NCFT), we not only strive to provide quality fashion education to our students but also undertake efforts to ensure their overall personal development through a wide variety of extra curricular activities.

NCFT aspires to provide the solid platform to students, where they can polish their skills and knowledge and move on to achieve success in life. And judging by the demand and success of our graduates it seems we are continuing in the right direction.

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

One of Nepal's largest private companies that is also involved in the garment business (focusing only on mens' apparels) for the last 8 years is interested in hiring a DESIGNER. The vacancy is open to NCFT graduates and the final semester (7^th batch) students.

The company has two well established clothing brands under which it sells as well as exports mens� shirts, trousers, t-shirts, denim, sweaters, shorts and jackets.

All interested candidates will have to appear for a SELECTION TEST conducted by the company where a theme will be provided and the candidates will have to come up with appropriate designs. The company will select ONE CANDIDATE who will be given the assignment of designing garments for the Season � Summer 2012 of one of its brands. The selected candidate will be based in Kathmandu.

The colors, concepts and forecasts required for designing will be provided by the company to the selected candidate, who will only be required to come up with the appropriate manual sketches and illustrations. If his/her work is liked and shows on in the market, he will be carried further for future assignments by the company.

All potential candidates should display an understanding of the taste and likings of Nepalese customers and be hands-on with MENS� GARMENTS. The selection test will be conducted by the company on JANUARY 08, 2012 SUNDAY.
