Introduction
Fashion Designing is a creative expression that has a high profile in today�s world. It is fast becoming an appealing and lucrative profession and the rise in fashion consciousness among people has led the fashion industry to grow spectacularly all over the world. This in turn has led to greater demands for competent fashion designers.

Here at Namuna College of Fashion Technology (NCFT), we not only strive to provide quality fashion education to our students but also undertake efforts to ensure their overall personal development through a wide variety of extra curricular activities.

NCFT aspires to provide the solid platform to students, where they can polish their skills and knowledge and move on to achieve success in life. And judging by the demand and success of our graduates it seems we are continuing in the right direction.

We congratulate Ms. Bipashwi Poudyal for winning the crown at the 11th Little Miss World pageant held in Antalya, Turkey on October 8. We also congratulate Ms. Anu Thapa (Our 9th batch student) who designed the Ballroom Gown dress that Ms. Bipashwi Poudyal wore during her historic achievement at the pageant. NCFT now also articulated with Griffith College 03:19:19
It\'s with great pleasure we state that we are now also articulated with Griffith College (GC), one of Ireland\'s largest and most reputed institution. Students can now transfer to GC and receive its BA (Hons) in Fashion Design degree after completing the first year or the second year at NCFT. Graduates from NCFT can additionally also receive the BA (Hons) in Fashion Design degree of GC by studying one year there.

Bishwo Gautam, 2nd batch graduate of NCFT and currently Proprietor/Designer at Designer\'s Collection, organized his solo fashion show titled \"Lead of Fusion\" at the Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza on June 09, 2011.

The show displayed his stunning creations under the 7 delightful sequences of Sari, Variation of Silhouttes, Gown/Party Wear, Color Craze, Journey of Fashion, Jump and Creative Round.

Mrs. Gyani Shova Tuladhar, the Founder Principal of Namuna College of Fashion Technology,was also honored as \"Nepalese Fashion Legend\" at the event.

NCFT Student wins the "Designer of the Year 2011" award 01:17:58
Aakriti Gautam KC, 7th batch student of the college, won the title at the "London Fashion House - Designer of the Year 2011" event organized by the London Fashion House at the Direction Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) on May 21st, 2011.

As the winner among the 23 participating designers, she received a 1 year designing contract worth Rs. 100,000 by the London Fashion House as it Official Designer. Her designs will also be promoted in London and internationally by London Fashion House which has offices in Kathmandu as well as in London.

NCFT Graduate wins the title at Creative Awards 2011 01:08:35
Shama Banu, 5th batch graduate of the college won the title award at the \"Creative Awards 2011\" organized by Speed Media at the Direction Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) on May 1, 2011.

As the winner among the 37 designers, she received a Laptop and a gift voucher worth Rs. 30,000.
